Important Reminders
Traffic Tips for Colder Weather

Colder weather means an increase in morning traffic. Here are some important tips to remember as the weather begins to change. Following these helpful reminders will help everyone arrive to school on time. Note: The tardy bell rings at 7:45 am. Students not in the building at 7:45 are tardy.

  • Pull all the way forward in carpool, even in the rain.
  • Prepare to leave a few minutes earlier on rainy/cold mornings.
Preston Lost & Found

Dear Parents: Please look over the pictures in the Preston Lost & Found slideshow of jackets/items that are currently in our lost & found. If an item belongs to your child, please have your student retrieve the item and delete the picture from the slideshow!

Security

All visitors MUST have a photo ID to enter the building. This includes lunch drop-off, student pick-up, volunteers, visitors, etc.

Acceptable forms of identification are a driver's license, passport, or AISD badge.

Dismissal & Traffic Reminders
  • Carpool for K-2 students and older siblings is through front carpool dismissal.
  • Carpool for 3rd-6th students is through gym side carpool dismissal.

To make a change for dismissal during the school day, please call the PES main office.

Traffic through Ridgeview Crossing

Please be mindful of the residents in Ridgeview Crossing during carpool times. Below are important reminders and requests:

  • Keep your vehicle to the right side of the roadway, as close to the curb as possible. This allows residents to pass safely, as well as allowing residents to enter/exit their driveway.
  • Avoid stopping in front of or blocking any driveways as much as possible.
  • Allow space between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you so residents have access to their driveway.

FOR ALL PES TRAFFIC, HILLIARD DRIVE is NOT a thru street during carpool times. Those who are violating our specific traffic routes are causing unnecessary delays.

  • If coming from Ridgeview Drive, you should not be accessing the front carpool line.
  • If coming from Baugh/Emporio Drive, you should not be accessing the gym carpool line.
