Every fall, the Preston Pride has celebrated the start of a great school year with the Jenny Preston Jamboree.  Unfortunately, as with many of our events, we must go virtual or postpone.  Allen ISD has restricted gatherings, even in a car, for safety purposes indefinitely.  Since we are unable to have the Jamboree this fall, we will plan to celebrate with a Family Movie Night as soon as Allen ISD lifts the restrictions.

Who:  Preston Families

What: Join us for the Preston Pride Walk or Ride! 

When: October 7, 2020 at your convenience

Where: Around our neighborhood sidewalks, trails, and parks!

How: 

1. RSVP that you are going on our Preston Pride Walk or Ride event page on Facebook!
2. Post a picture while participating. It could be your smiling faces while walking or your distance walked/rode on your favorite tracking app.
3. You’ll be entered in our prize drawing!

Why:  When walking or biking, parents and children get to appreciate things they don’t notice while driving—listening to the sounds of the neighborhood, seeing friends and neighbors (from a safe distance of course!) and feeling connected with their community.

Walking and bicycling also enables children to incorporate the regular physical activity they need each day while forming healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Regular physical activity helps children build strong bones, muscles and joints, and it decreases the risk of obesity. Let’s strive for a healthy pride!
