PTA Membership Meeting

November 3rd at 6:30 pm

Sign up to join us for the last Membership meeting of 2020. Under guidance of Preston Administration, Allen ISD, and Texas PTA, this Preston Elementary PTA Membership meeting will utilize Zoom for the meeting.

In this meeting, we will review previous reports, budget amendments, staff grant recipients, and other business. To attend this meeting as a voting member, you must complete your PTA membership by October 30, 2020.
To receive the Zoom Meeting ID and Password, please RSVP below. Registration for the meeting closes on 11/1/20. The Zoom information will be sent on 11/2/20 to the email address provided in the form. When attending the meeting, your PTA registered name should be visible along with your membership status denoted as an (M). Ex: (M) Brooke Eung
The Membership meeting will be conducted utilizing the Texas PTA Meeting Rules. Please reference this website for questions or information regarding the procedure of the meeting. The voting process will follow the protocols of a verbalized affirmative or negative for all motions presented.

Following this meeting, our Reflections participants are invited to share the piece they submitted for the Texas PTA Reflections contest. This is a time to let our students see how much they matter to the Preston PTA. To register your Reflections entry for the showcase after the meeting, email ptaartsed.preston@gmail.com.

Vote FOR the Allen ISD Bond to show every student in Allen they have our support. There are 4 propositions listed and the Preston PTA supports all four. Voting FOR the bond is a vote FOR our children and community.

Writing skills are so important, particularly when students are young.

It's never too early to get kids interested in writing, it's a fun and rewarding activity. Stories can be about anything and everything, use your imagination to write that story you have been wanting to write this year!

Picture Day

Picture Day is coming to Preston on Friday, November 6th. All students will have the opportunity to participate.

In-Person Students - pictures will be taken during the school day.

At-Home Students - Please sign up for your child to take their school pictures using Sign Up Genius.

ALL picture orders must be placed online.

The City of Allen presents Keep Allen Beautiful’s Annual Recycled Art Competition.

This year’s theme is My Clean & Green Community.

Unplug your creativity and submit your recycled art and entry form NO LATER than 5pm October 23, 2020 to ContestKAB@gmail.com.

Veterans Day Celebration on 11/6

Though we cannot celebrate in our usual fashion, we are excited to have this opportunity to show our appreciation to the Veterans of our great nation. We would love for students to create a Google Slide for a Veteran family member or close friend to be shared in our Veterans Day celebration.

If you are interested in participating, please have your Google Slide submitted/shared with Mrs. Armentrout by October 30, 2020.
