PTA Membership Meeting 2/9 @ 6:30pm

Sign up to join us for the first Membership meeting of 2021 on February 9, 2021 at 6:30pm. Under guidance of Preston Administration, Allen ISD, and Texas PTA, this Preston Elementary PTA Membership meeting will utilize Zoom for the meeting.

In this meeting, we will review previous reports, budget amendments, form a nomination committee for the April Board Election, and other business. To attend this meeting as a voting member, you must complete your PTA membership by February 5, 2021.
To receive the Zoom Meeting ID and Password, please RSVP below. Registration for the meeting closes on February 8, 2021. The Zoom information will be sent on February 9, 2021 to the email address provided in the form. When attending the meeting, your PTA registered name should be visible along with your membership status denoted as an (M). Ex: (M) Brooke Eung
The Membership meeting will be conducted utilizing the Texas PTA Meeting Rules. Please reference this website for questions or information regarding the procedure of the meeting. The voting process will follow the protocols of a verbalized affirmative or negative for all motions presented.

1st and 2nd Grade Choir Performance

In conjunction with the PTA Membership meeting, our 1^st and 2^nd graders will perform a virtual choir concert prepared by Mrs. Bush. The performances will be shown at two times. Anyone interested in attending the concerts, must register here by February 8, 2021. The zoom codes for the concerts will only be sent to registered participants. When registering, please choose which viewing you would like to attend (6:00 pm or 7:00 pm). This is a time to let our students have a moment in the spotlight for the Preston Pride. The PTA meeting will be conducted between the two viewings.

CALLING ALL PRESTON PRIDE!!!

It's TIME to REGISTER for the Allen Eagle Run!!!

The Allen Eagle Run has gone VIRTUAL! Which means you can run/walk any time, any place, between February 27-March 3rd! You can even opt for the popular Sleep-In option, if running isn't your cup of tea.

Never ran a 5K? Introducing Preston's very own Couch to 5k group!

We will support each other through the training to run the Allen Eagle Run 5k. Three weekly workouts, building up your distance and run time, is all it will take. We can do this together!!! Click below to join!

Keep Allen Beautiful Arbor Day Poster Contest

4th and 5th grade students are encouraged to participate in Keep Allen Beautiful's Arbor Day Poster contest. The theme is “Trees are Terrific…Energy Wise!”

The contest Activity Guide and Rubric can be found by clicking HERE.

Students can email a picture of their poster to ContestKAB@gmail.com. The submission deadline is Friday, February 5th by 5pm.

This city wide competition is judged by Keep Allen Beautiful Board Members and City Staff in early February. The Top 3 winners and the Grand Prize winner will be recognized at a virtual Allen City Council Meeting.

Grand Prize: Tree planted in winner’s honor at their school or at a City park.
Top 3 in city wide competition are celebrated through a virtual awards ceremony and then mailed certificates and gift cards.
- 1st Place: $20 gift card to Target
- 2nd Place: $15 gift card to Target
- 3rd Place: $10 gift card to Target
