PTA Membership Meeting on April 7th at 6:30 pm

Please join us for the April Membership Meeting in the Preston cafeteria. In this meeting, we will be electing officers for the Preston PTA Board 2022-2023, voting on multiple budget amendments, discussing the plans for the remainder of the year, and other necessary business.

Book Fair is Here!

Books Bring Us All Together

March 28, Mon. 8am-3:30pm

March 29, Tues. 8am-3:30pm

March 30, Wed. 8am-3:30pm and

5:30pm-7:00pm

March 31, Thurs. 8am-3:30pm

April 1, Fri. 8am-1:00pm

*Parents will have the opportunity to shop with their student during lunch time, if they are signed up as a lunch visitor or after school.

*Online shopping available now through April 4.

* Please note that Heritage Night will be held on Wednesday, March 30 AND the book fair will also be open for evening hours.

*Stop by the multipurpose room to visit the book fair during this fun family event!

Slate of Officers for 2022-2023 Executive Board

As part of the April meeting, the Preston PTA Bylaws indicate the requirement to conduct elections for the following year. The Nominating Committee has proposed the following slate of officers for the 2022-2023 school year:

President: Prachi Mohanty
1^st VP of Membership: Kristen Hill
2^nd VP of Ways and Means: Payal Patel
3^rd VP of Programs: Theresa Ginsburg
Secretary: Alexandra Paterson
Treasurer: Kelli Lyons

If you would like to become involved with the PTA next year and you are not included on this slate, you may be nominated and run from the floor at the April 7th meeting.

Another way to become involved with the PTA is to volunteer for one of our many standing chair positions which will be appointed at a later time. For more information on the available standing chair positions or volunteer opportunities, please email ptapresident.preston@gmail.com.

Preston Publishers Author Reception

REMINDER: The Preston Publishers Author Reception will be held on April 7 from 5:30 to 6:30pm at the Preston library and Multipurpose Room. We will have a fun reception where our young authors will have the opportunity to dedicate their published books to the Preston library. We can't wait to celebrate our student authors! Reception will immediately precede the PTA membership meeting.

Preston's Back Yard Bash is Back!

Join us April 22 for Preston's Back Yard Bash! Bounce houses, field games, music and more will celebrate the ending of this school year with a family fun event. See you there!

Bring in your Gently Used Shoes!

The Preston PTA is collecting shoes to donate to Keep Allen Beautiful's project that supports the Soles 4 Souls! Drop off shoes in the box at the front door by April 8 to participate!
