ATTENTION!!

Parents, this is an important notice for anyone whose student is a “front walker” and walks to or from Preston using Baugh Drive and Chelsea Drive. The construction on the north side of Baugh Drive is now complete and the developer is ready to begin construction on the south side of Baugh. During this phase, the sidewalk will be impassable for our students walking down Baugh to and from Preston. Allen ISD, in conjunction with the City of Allen and the developer, has developed a plan for our students to safely walk to school. A crossing guard will be posted at the intersection of Chelsea Drive and Baugh Drive. Students will cross over Baugh and use the completed sidewalk on the north side of the street. At the intersection of Baugh Drive and Hilliard Drive, students will cross Hilliard at the crosswalk before coming onto our school property. Our students will utilize the same path when walking home from school in the afternoon. Please know, this is a temporary measure and will only be needed during this phase of construction. This change will be effective beginning Monday, October 18th.

Action items:

Parents, please talk with your students about this change, so they are prepared and know what to expect beginning Monday morning.

All parents using this route for arrival and dismissal, please be mindful of this change.

Thank you for your support and help; we appreciate you all!

It's a Wrap!

Our jungle book fair was a big roaring success! We brought well over 1,000 new books into the hands, minds and hearts of our PES students. All the profit from this book fair is going towards expanding our library's resources. We are so very grateful for our dedicated volunteers, who worked hard to make this a fun and great experience for our students. A sincere thank you to each and everyone of you. We love our volunteers.  We are also very thankful to our awesome teachers, staff and parents for all your support. You all are the best! And, a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Armentrout, our  superstar librarian, for her invaluable guidance all throughout the book fair! Together, we helped foster a love for reading, that we hope will continue well beyond the book fair. We'll see you all in the spring. Until then, keep reading friends!
