Upcoming Events

PTA Meeting on November 15th at 6.30 pm

Please join us for the Preston PTA Meeting on November 15, Tuesday, in the Preston Gym. All members are encouraged to attend the PTA meeting. It will be followed by 3rd grade choir performance.

Spelling Bee

The Preston Elementary Spelling Bee will be held on December 1st. The winner of the Preston Elementary Spelling Bee (Grades 5-6) will advance to the Allen ISD Spelling Bee, those winners will advance to the Collin County Spelling Bee in February, and those winners will go on to the Dallas Regional Spelling Bee in March.

The Spelling Bee registration deadline has been extended through Tuesday, Nov. 15th and is open to students in 3rd-6th grade. Please visit the Preston PTA website for more details and to sign up.

STEAM Night Back at Preston!

Join us on Tuesday, December 6^th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm for lots of activities to explore the world of:

Science,

Technology,

Engineering,

Art,

Math

Including hot cocoa with melting snowmen and prizes! Wear your pajamas and join us; it’s going to be “snow much fun”!

Thanksgiving Break starts from Nov 21st to 25th!

Early Release Day on November 18^{th -}Students will be released at 12:00 noon

Holly Jolly Run

December 3rd, Saturday is when Holly Jolly Run will be. Details in the attached flyer.

Father Daughter Dance

Allen ISD Community Education presents “A Winter Wonderland” Father Daughter Ball. Registration is now OPEN!

Date: Saturday, December 10

Time:

Twilight Dance (Kinder & under 4:30-5:30 pm)
Evening Dance 1 (1st-3rd Grade 6:00-7:30 pm)
Evening Dance 2 (4th-6th Grade 8:30-10:00 pm)

Winter Parties at Preston

Winter parties are just around the corner, and our classrooms will be bustling with holiday fun! PTA room parents will soon be planning this special event for our students.

Parent attendance is not required. As you consider attending winter parties, please be mindful that classroom space is very limited, and we want to ensure that our students have room to move around and enjoy the activities. One guest per student (and younger siblings) will be allowed; any guest who plans to attend must RSVP no later than Monday, December 12th. The form to RSVP can be found HERE.

Early Release Day

Friday, December 16th is early out day for all students!

Important Reminders

Traffic Tips for Colder Weather

Colder weather means an increase in morning traffic. Here are some important tips to remember as the weather begins to change. Following these helpful reminders will help everyone arrive to school on time.

Note: The tardy bell rings at 7:45 am. Students not in the building at 7:45 are tardy.

Pull all the way forward in carpool, even in the rain.
Prepare to leave a few minutes earlier on rainy/cold mornings.

Dismissal Information

Carpool for K-2 students and older siblings is through front carpool dismissal.
Carpool for 3^rd-6^th students is through gym side carpool dismissal.

To make a change for dismissal during the school day, please call the PES main office.

The Reflections Reception honoring all Reflections Program participants will be held in the Multipurpose Room at Preston on Tuesday, 11/15 at 5:45pm. Cookies and water will be provided. Come check out all the brilliant art of our participants!
