Our Purposes

 

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and
throughout the community;

 

To raise the standards of home life;

 

To advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and
safety of children and youth;

 

To promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of
children and youth;

 

To engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and
social well-being of all children and youth; and

 

To advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.

 


 

Our 2023-2024 Goals


Build Fostering understanding regarding how parents, families, and PTAs play a crucial role
in enabling every child to achieve their utmost capabilities.

 

Communicate Consistently share with the Preston Elementary community the importance of
participating and collaborating with the PTA. This will be done by emphasizing the value of
involvement and partnership across areas such as Advocacy, Programs, Volunteerism, and Community Engagement, all of which significantly contribute to the positive impact on our school.

 

Encourage and educate all families of Preston Elementary to utilize PrestonPTA.org as a
communication and information tool.

 

Strengthen positive relationships with school faculty, staff, and parents through supportive,
constructive, and respectful communication centered around the best interest of our students
and staff and to Build community through all school events.

 

Empower Motivating the families of the Preston PTA to passionately support learning and
safety in our school. This demonstrates their resolute dedication to functioning cohesively as
a team, consistently year after year, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration that positively
impacts both students and the faculty of Preston Elementary.

 

Respect models best practices, values its members, and strengthens, and diversifies
leadership at all levels.
